I am caring for my 99 year old Great-Aunt aka Tia Bessie, this is no ordinary 99 year old...let me tell you what happened...I was showing a friend the sights around the island, we decided to go hiking across a vast lava field, to the ocean.
We asked Tia Bessie if she wanted to have lunch while we took a hike. Absolutely NOT, she would not have it. She said she too wanted to see the lava fields, the palm trees growing on lava, the black sand beach and see the ocean. These pictures are of the woman who cross the lava to see the ocean...enjoy!

I think she looks young for 99 years old...but then again I am partial to my Auntie.
